Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is skilled treatment that provides individuals with the tools needed to achieve independent function in all areas of their lives. Here at D&H Therapy a registered Occupational Therapist will evaluate, assess and customize a treatment program to achieve goals aimed at maximize an individuals independence.
This may include but is not limited to:
Hand Therapy, Custom splint fabrication, Pain management, Strength and endurance exercise programs, Work simplification and Energy conservation, Joint protection, Training in the use of adaptive equipment for lost function,and Functional Capacity Evaluations. A wide variety of people can benefit from occupational therapy, including those with
- Work-related injuries or repetitive stress injuries.
- Limitations following a stroke or heart attack.
- Arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or other serious chronic conditions.
- Burns, spinal cord injuries, or amputations.
- Upper extremity orthopedic injuries.
- Neurological disorders.
